Our league has grown and there were 24 starting players. We welcomed several new faces and a few old players returned as well. Next game is scheduled for 1 May 2009. Please review the schedule, tournament director (TD) and council duties as well as the TDA rules/by-laws as many changes have been implemented!

About The League:

The Sierra Vista Poker League (SVPL) began Season VII on 24 January 2009. The season will consist of 14 games of play, usually every other week on alternating Saturdays and Fridays with an End-Of-Season (EOS) Tournament (see schedule below). To qualify for the EOS tournament, each player must pay a one-time $10 league fee and attend and buy into a minimum of 7 out of 14 tournaments or attend 5 sessions and pay $15 per session missed to make 7 out of 14. This season we intend to maintain one week of heads-up play, two weeks of short-handed play (6-handed), two weeks of speed tounament play (counts as two games each), and the remainder will be regular freeze-out tournament games. Player MUST arrive and buy-in at least 5 minutes prior to session start time (according to the tournament directors clock).

Tournament Summary

Buy-in:
$40 and broken down in the following manner:
    $25 - The nightly pot
    $15 - EOS tournament pot
     10,000 in starting chips (regular & 6-handed)

15,000 in starting chips (speed)

     5,000 in starting chips (heads-up)

Re-buys:
Two in all tournaments except Speed and Heads-up:
     $10 each
     5,000 in chips
     $5 into nightly pot & $5 into EOS pot

Add-on:
Available during the first break only, except in the heads-up tournament (no add-on):
     $5 for 5,000 in chips
     $5 goes into nightly pot
