SPEED Tournaments:

In speed tournaments, each player starts with 15,000 in chips. Chips are multi-denominational 25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000 and 10000. Traditionally, speed tournaments will begin with cards in the air at the scheduled start time. When buying-in for the tournament, players will draw a card to determine seating assignment for the first tournament. Five minutes prior to tournament start time players will proceed to their appropriate seats to await the start of the tournament. Each level is five (5) minutes in length and break will be ten (10) minutes in length (starting after tournament director has completed break-time duties). The key thing about speed tournaments is that TWO TOURNAMENTS are played during the night for the single buy-in. Upon completion of the first tournament, chips will be reset and players will draw a card to determine seating assignment for the second tournament of the evening.
